Canon SD890IS
I almost didn’t buy the Canon SD890 IS. That would have been a mistake. I never thought anything ultra compact camera could replace my beloved SD700 IS.
I was wrong.
In almost every area, I’m favorably impressed with this little gem. It even does surprisingly well at high ISO numbers. The fact that this tiny camera has a 5X zoom is, to me, amazing.
My SD890IS settings
To get the most out of my Canon SD890IS, I change the factory default settings. Though the camera has no manual controls, changing a few settings in the so-called “Manual” mode gives me more control over exposure.

Ultra small in size, the Canon SD890IS is big on quality images as well as features that many other fully automatic digital cameras lack.

The build quality of the Canon SD890IS is on par with many other Canon ultra compact digital cameras, especially amazing since the camera has a 5X zoom.
