Canon A570IS
I bought a Canon A570IS as a replacement for my daughter’s A510 . For someone who has little interest in fussing with digital camera settings, the A510 served my daughter very well. The A570IS will too. I remain impressed by these feature-packed, compact A xeries digital cameras that cost $200 U.S. or less.
The A570 has much in common with the A510. However, it has a number of improved features such as larger LCD, Image Stabilization and Face Detection technology.

There’s a lot to like about this little gem, especially that Canon has included Image Stabilization in such a reasonably priced digital camera. The A570IS has a few minor annoyances though.
