Underexposed image due to the camera exposure meter being influence by the bright background. Could have used fill-in flash, exposure compensation, or made a focus/exposure lock on a darker area of the photo then recomposed. |

Left lens cap on. Everything looked great in the viewfinder. Check the LCD.

Backed away to avoid getting own shadow in the photo but forgot to move the tripod!
