Digital cameras 101

Hi;

I own a CANON powershot A75 [3.2MP] camera. I had taken some veeryyy important pics of a friends baby shower awhile ago and had not yet downloaded them onto my computer. While fiddling around with my cameras menu[stupidly..I might add:)]; I accidentally formatted the CFC while it was still in the camera. Net result, EVERYTHING got erased. There were a few short videos in it too.

Is there anyway that I can retrieve the pics before my friend PULVERISES me?

Hi there Urmila and welcome to the Q&A Board!

There is a good chance that you can recover most, if not all your images with photo recovery software. There are free programs such as the Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery too, which some Q&A Board users have suggested:
