I want to get good quality pictures (for the web and for printing) from interiors.
What is the better election: Nikon Coolpix with wide-angle converter or EOS Canon Digital Camera with its 18-55mm objektiv?

Thanks a lot for answers.

Hi Cardenas,

Welcome to the Q&A Board!

There will no doubt be varied opinions about this but in my opinion, the best shots are obtained using dSLRs and a good lens. The drawbacks are higher cost and larger, more weighty camera. They do, however, offer a lot more flexibility and dslrs take better photos when using high ISO numbers.

Saying that, some of the advanced digital cameras have outstanding optics, and you should get excellent photos for both prints and the web.

I have a Nikon 5400 which produces excellent image quality and it has a 28 mm/35 mm equivalent lens, perfect for interior shots. The 5400's replacement, the Nikon coolpix 8400, has an even wider angle lens: 24 mm/35 mm equiv. Both cameras have a hot shoe, important if you want to use an external flash.

For your stated use, I don't think you'll go wrong with either a dslr or advanced digital camera. Go by the amount you want to spend, the degree of flexibilty you want (such as buying additional lenses) and how easy you want to be able to carry your camera around.
