Hi,

I just became the proud owner of a FZ3 -- which I bought after a lot of soul searching  Smiley

This camera does not have a manual focus ring -- Does anyone know if its possible to somehow get it to focus 'at infinity'  ( I wanted to get the full moon but it kept getting the window pane :-(

Thanks in advance  .. and for this wonderful site !

Hi and welcome Ashish,

So glad you like the site. The FZ3 is a great digicam. I love mine.

I usually shoot in Scene mode for an infinity setting. I suggest you use Spot area focusing and Spot metering when shooting the moon.

And, if I understand you correctly, try not shoot through glass.  It's better to go outside where there are no window panes.  Wink

Hi Gail,

I got the camera yesterday and thought I would try to put the zoom through its paces... Except  it was sub zero temperature outside  Smiley

thanks for the tips -- I'll try again without the glass when its a bit warmer outside ...

Enjoy your camera. By the way, there is a new online usergroup for owners of FZ3 digital cameras:
