hi. i've got a nikon coolpix 3200, and i was wondering how i can delete all my photos in one go, instead of deleting each one individually, which can be tedious. i know that formatting my memory card will delete all photos and video clips, but i don't know what fomatting is. could someone please explain this to me?

Hi there, you're correct in thinking that you shouldn't need to format your card to erase all the images. Formatting the card erases all files, even protected ones and erases the disk. (Note: This should not be done on the computer. If you are going to format a card, it is highly recommended to do so in the camera.)

Now, to delete only the images files, here's what ya do:

Go to PLAYBACK > DELETE > Secondary Menu > ERASE ALL IMAGES.

Hope that helps,
Cheers,
Deb
