Hello. I`m new to this site, but I guess I`ll try, asking a  question here. Yesterday I bought a HP psc 1317 multifunctionmachine. Here, I can print out directly from a pictbridge camera. I do have a pictbridgecamera, a Sony P73. But when I connect it to the multif. I get a message that says this opportunity is only for cameras with Pict Bridge. I don`t understand why this message somes up. When the program that followed my new multif. tried to search for cameras, it didn`t find anything. I`m a bit dissapointed, you see. Not a crises, but.......well....can anyone help? What should I do to make it work?

Hello niggen,

Welcome, thanks for stopping by! Don't be disappointed. It's probably something minor that can be easily worked out by getting information online or making a quick call to tech support.

Some camera manufacturers require that the camera be in PictBridge mode before connecting to a PictBridge printer. Check your camera manual to see if this is the case and, if so, switch the Sony to PictBridge mode.

If that doesn't do the trick, check out the following link, which goes over how to resolve installation problems for USB connected HP All-in-One products.

If none of the above work, you should contact tech support for both camera and printer.

When you find a solution, hope you'll consider sharing it here so others may benefit. All the best.
