Hi,

I'm going on a trip soon and it will involve going through several airports. I know xray machines can damage film but wonder if my digital camera can be damaged by repeated xrays.

Hi kirkland,

Putting digital cameras (and memory cards) through airport x-ray machines won't cause harm. There is some concern about metal-detectors though, particularly hand-held wands used by airport personnel. Digital media can be affected by magnetic devices, not x-rays.
