Hi can any one help
I am looking for a digital camera with a built in setting for panoramic views, I have used one but have forgotten which  You bring into play the setting (panoramic) take a photo when you go for next shot the edge of last image is in the view finder to be able to line up with next shot.    I don't need top of the range camera and it needs to be pocket able
I do know I can use editing programs to stitch

Hi and welcome!

Almost all brands abd models offer the panorama feature you request. It's often caled Stitch assist, panorama assist, or simply panorama. This pre-programmed mode is one of the most common. You should have no problems finding a suitable camera.

That's how Canon cameras work. There may be others but I'm most familiar with Canon.

It works effectively and their ZoomBrowser software included with each camera makes stitching the photos together easy.

If you need a pocketable camera, take a look at the Canon A or SD series. The A series are compact; the SD series are ultra compact. I've owned both and have been very pleased with them.
