Hi guys and gals,

I like this helpful site a lot.

I'm taking a photography/art class in school. I need some suggestions for getting good composition. Any suggestions?

Pete

I also believe you'll find some very helpful information there too.

From a creative and artistic standpoint when taking a shot, I often find myself using and/or thinking about these:

Composition

Depth of Field

Lighting techniques

These should serve as a steppping stone to learn some of the technical aspects of digital photography which can be used to achieve creative results.

Someone recently asked me about photo composition so I thought I'd revive this thread. Many have found the photo composition gallery helpful. As they say, a picture is worth 1000 words:   Grin

Very good information about composition. The photo illustrations are even better than just the word explanations.
