What settings are the best for taking pictures of people indoors?

Hi (again),

it really depends on the camera you use. Now I see from your third post that you have the Kodak Z740, a nice camera giving you some flexibility.

The best thing for portraits is in general to avoid using theflash (though that isn't always possible). Using a tripod can help but only if your subject remains still.

You should use Aperture priority, and select the widest aperture possible. Or you can use the Portrait scene mode if it exists. Then, if you can zoom in a little bit, this will help get a narrow depth of field. A good thing to o is to focus on the eyes. Then shoot away!
