Nope, but I don't think I've seen that color/design except for the four plants next to my house. Wink

That is a beauty!! I reminds me of a sunset; and a tiger. Looks like you've found yourself a stunning hybrid! Can you catch a shot of it when it opens up a bit more? One of the inside perhaps?  Smiley

That's a great idea. If you took a couple of shots at different times, it would make a lovely print series...where you'd put, say, three prints in one frame.

I'll just have to dock your pay, Mike.  Grin  Tongue

Ok, here's my take. I love it! But I'd personally love it better if you eliminated the first bud, and waited until the bud opened more fully.

If the bud had a bit more "pop" would it work better.

Not sure what you mean by more pop, but I think the first and second buds are kind of, though not altogether, similar. I just think a bud more fully open would give the threesome more variety. There is nothing at all wrong with what you have, it's just a matter of taste. I know how very beautiful flowers are when their buds are open.

I'll have another look through the "library" when I get home and see if I've got something to seperate the look more. I was trying to keep the flower the same, you might notice that the first pic posted is a different one. Smiley That last one is about as open as they seem to get though even on a bright sunny day. This is a tulip, yes? How about a series where you pan up the side of the flower to the top to peer inside?

First shot, side shot angled up of mostly closed flower. Second shot, side shot of mostly opened flower. Third shot, side shot from top angled down inside opened flower. You know, like you're taking a stroll along the flower.  Grin

Alas I arrived home to find that the heat of the day had driven my tulips past their prime. Shocked I'll now have to really review the "library" to see if I actually got multi angle shots. I've got the side and I've got the top (into) but I don't think I spent any time shooting from ground level (I only do that with bugs Grin)

I certainly hope not. I'd hate to think that if someone gently touched me under the chin my ears would fall off. :-/ Cool Shocked

Thanks picperfectgal and welcome to Digicamhelp and the Q&A Board. The shot was done using a Canon 300D (Digital Rebel). It's a 6 megapixel (DSLR*) camera.
