It's apple blossom time.  This pic was taken last spring, right after I got my beloved Camedia C-700 (that now, sadly, is minus the flash due to an accident with falling objects, so it's limited to mostly outdoor shots or indoor "snap shots")

I'm just gonna link it here cause it's huge, gigantenormous, and I didn't want to resize it - cause you can actually see the texture of the petals and the fuzzies on the stems.

Any comments or suggestions with this pic?  I know that I pretty much let the camera do its own thing with this...I wasn't familiar enough with the camera to "mess" with the settings any.  It seems that it's maybe a bit dull?  Should I have had a reflector on the right side or is this acceptable as is?

I love taking flower pictures and somewhere, I have an absolutely gorgeous water lily I captured while in Niagara Falls last summer.  Most of my Niagara pics are dull cause the weather was not very nice, but that lily was absolutely stunning.

Nice flower Peppergal, did you do any post processing before saving it? I think with just a touch of unsharp mask and a touch of boost in saturation you can add a little more to the image. Example at link...

I reduced the size quite a bit to keep it around 100K so it may look a tad sharper but you get the idea. Wink

No, I didn't do anything to the image at all...but that one you did looks GREAT.  I'll have to mess with it in PSP and see what I come up with.  And you got rid of that little bug or whatever it was in the middle.  ;-)  I can't believe that didn't occur to me to do at least that.  lol

I really like the greens on the leaves and am thinking I'd like to use those colors on a website soon...somehow....hee hee

Nah, you just can't see him any more because of the resize. Grin Wink

Remember, the key with using USM and playing with the other setting is not to over do it. You still want the image to look real. Roll Eyes

I'd really like to get this one printed one day when I actually have a pretty room in which to hang it.  And yeah, I wanta keep it real; that's why I hesitate to do too much to my pics.
