People dark in photo

Hi again,

I took some photos of friends. In the photos they came out dark, but the background was fine. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi Al,

My first thought is that you had a backlit situation. You might want to check here for more info on that. As for suggestions, you might try using the flash (assuming you didn't) or positioning the people so the lighting falls from the front.
