I have a Canon A75. Often I want to shoot at only a 50 mm or so focal length, but I find it impossible to tell definitively when the lens is at that point. Is there something I'm not doing or a place I'm not looking?

Thanks.

Hi MWG and welcome!

I checked the specs on your particular model and the 35mm equivalent range is from 35mm to 105mm (disregard digital zoom). Unfortunately I didn't find any reference to that info being visually displayed for you on your LCD so .... To figure out roughly where 50mm lies, know that the setting would be just short of halfway between your wide angle and telephoto setting. (Halfway would be 70mm). Perhaps the camera's "zoom lever" can be used to fine tune your placement.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Deb
