Hello lindsylou and welcome to the Q&A Forum!

Yes, it's easy to transfer images from the camera to your computer. Your camera came with USB cord for this purpose. Check the manual how to do this and also install the software that came on the CD.

You can also use a memory card reader. If you have a newer computer, many have a built-in memory card reader. Memory card readers save battery power over a direction connection from camera to computer.

Here's more information on transfering and storing images:

A terrific, very easy to use program to consider is Picasa. It's free and lets you easily edit and organize your digital images.

Hi,

if you have a card reader, the transfer from PC to card is easy. Some cameras also act as card readers when plugged in the computer, so the same method is often valid (I believe that only Kodak and Canon cameras do not allow this, but I'm not completely sure).

Let's assume you operate Windows, if you're on MAC a similar procedure will apply.

1-Open My Computer

2-You should see an icon labeled "Removable card", "Removable drive" or something similar. This represents your card. Double-click on it.

3-You now have a folder where you can drag and drop files, or paste anything that you previously copied.

It's as simple as that. Just be careful to copy files, instead of cutting them, otherwise they will not be available on your computer anymore.

lindsylou,

My apologies for misreading your question! I replied quite early before departing for a trip and have literally been on the road the entire day.

Glad bdrey gave you the correct answer. The only thing I'd add is to watch the file names. You can read more about this here:
