Hi there,

As far as I know, there are no 4 GB cards that are not SDHC. Consider two 2GB cards; SandDisk Ultra II and SanDisk Extreme SD cards offer excellent performance (and prices have dropped a lot the past year). Extreme cards come with free photo recovery software, which I've needed to use and found works well at recovering lost files.

For those interested, here is information about Secure Digital High Capactiy memory cards:

Hi,

for the record, some SD cards with 4 GB of capacity CAN be found, but no camera (or other) manufacturers will officially support them.I know of someone who used a 4 GB SD card in a Canon S3, without problems, but the risk is quitee high.

As Gail recommended, it's better to get more, lower capacity cards. It's alsocheaper.

Thanks for the advice. I would have thought that there might have been a firmware update issued by Canon for this camera which would premit the use of SDHC cards with it.
