Hi to All!!!
I need some help.  Just purchased a Kodak digital
camera for first time, along with a printer dock.
I'm so new at this, so please excuse me!!!!

HOw do I format a Kodak SD memory card.??
I'm using a printer dock t print pictures.

Hi and welcome!

don't be ahamed to ask what you consider beginners' questions, we all have to start somewhere!

The best way to format a memory card that's going to be used in a digital camera is always with the camera itself. That way, you lower the chances of eventually corrupting the data on your card.

I'm not familiar with your particular camera, but digicams are almost always made in the same way. The option to format should be found in the Menu or Setup menu.

Just make sure that you copy any picture that's on the memory card to a computer before formatting, or those pictures will be lost.

The printer is not linked to the formatting process. some printers that have slots for memory cards could be used to format, but it's really best to format with the camera.

You typically format a memory card in Play mode, then go through the menus until you get to the format menu. Make sure your batteries are fully charged when formatting. Don't shut the camera off until the formatting is completed.
