I inadvertently used a new SD memory card without formatting it first. I took a test photo then deleted it, now my Samsung Diximax A400 locks up on turning it on with this card inserted.
Has anyone any ideas how to recover the card so that I format it.
Thanks.

Hi dartman and welcome!

It's strange that the camera locks up completely. What usually happens is that the data becomes corrupted when the card is not formatted.

If you have a card reader, you could try to use it to format the card. If you have access to another card, test it in the camera to see if it also creates problems (the issue could originate from the camera, not the card).
