I have a Kodak DX6490 digital camera and was wondering if anyone could suggest any particular external flashes for it.  Also are there any websites that feature external flashes so that I can look at them?  I've tried search engines and some particular websites, but none of them have featured external flashes.  Also, is there any other equipment that I'll need to go with the external flash?

The main reason I'm looking for an external flash is because I found out that the wide angle lens for my camera blocks the built-in flash.  From experience, I've noticed that most indoor lighting setups are not ideal.  So I was thinking that an external flash might help out when I try to use a wide angle lens indoors.

Hi WWEM....... and welcome,

I can't give you a specific recommendation for a flash unit but did a quick search around and found this from Kodak (nice of them to provide so much info) along with this brief discussion at Steves Digicams which mentions a couple of flash units.  Wink Hopefully something there will help or someone with a more intimate knowledge of your camera & accessories will happen along.
