Hello, My name is Boyd and I have a problem with my XD-Picture Card, and I am sure that I am not the only one with this problem. If anyone can give me some advice on how to remedy this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Here it is; I have a Fuji E510 camera and a 256mb XD card, i put the card into my PC and downloaded the pictures, I then deleted the pictures from the card. Unfortunately I also deleted 2 files from the card, they are "DCIM" and "100_FUJI". I have no idea what they are for but I do know that I need them and can't get them back. I can still take pics. with my card but when I put the card into my PC it comes up blank, I can still get the pics. off through the camera.
Any help would be great.

Hi Boyd and welcome to the Q&A Board. Have you tried reformatting the card in the camera? Assuming that you only deleted files using the pc as opposed to formatting the card using the pc hopefully that should restore the card. Give it a go and let us know how it went.
Also, you shouldn't reformat your XD card using the pc it can lead to trouble. Check out this thread.

Yes, whenever you format a memory card in the camera, the camera restores it's file and folder system to the card. They are needed so the camera and card can "communicate," and is why a card should be formatted by your camera...not computer.

When you format the card, the  "DCIM" and "100_FUJI" files should appear again on the card.
