Any detailed information on how to use external flash with digital camera for consistant exposures is needed.  I'm using a D30 with 550EX flash in TTL mode.

Hi there Flash and welcome to the Q&A Board!

I don't have first-hand experience with either the Canon D30 or their 550EX flash unit, however, I did come across this FAQ from Canon on the subject: http://www.fredmiranda.com/D30FAQpage/letter.html .
(By the way, "FEL" found in this link stands for "Flash Exposure Lock".)

Also, check out http://www.fredmiranda.com/D30FAQpage/#3  for specific techniques using the D30 with the 550EX.

Hopefully, this will get you started and be of some help.

Perhaps some of our readers have experience with this equipment combination and can provide additional information.  Wink
