Ok...

This is how my problem looks like...

I have 3 cars, one girl, full black background, one 250W and one 500W light, both with umbrellas, Nikon D300, 50mm f/1.8D, 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6, and one SB-800...

p.s. I will do one car at a time...So 1 car, 1 girl setup.

How can I pull this off, best way possible

Hi,

if you want to know how best to set the lights to illuminate the scene, then even though I'm certainly no expert I can tell you that there is no single way to do this, it strongly depends on the actual setting, cars colours, effects desired, etc. Do you want to create shadows, an even lighting, etc. The possibilities are limitless, it depends on the pictures you see in your mind.

I would suggest you visit the Lighting technique forum at www.dpreview.com and the various forums of www.fredmiranda.comto get advice from the experts. What's more, I would do multiple test runs, while taking note, with various configurations.
