Ok, I've searched and can't find anything on this anywhere, so maybe someone on here can help. I have a Nikon D60 and just purchased a Kenko Vari 420-800 lens with the 2x converter and it come with a little t-post adapter. I am very new to photography so please bare with me. I am trying to learn all that I can.

When I put the lens on, it says "lens not attached", and I can't take pictures. It's brand new, but I also made sure everything was clean so it's no debris obstructing or anything but I can't get it to take a picture with this lens. I did notice, there's no contacts on the t-post (not sure if it's suppose to have any or not) but nothing I try works. Everything appears to be connected right, I've taken it off, and reattached it numerous times, turned the camera off and on, nothing works.

I appreciate any help anyone can give me and thank you in advanced!

Glad you figured it out teknoge3K! And thanks for sharing the info as it can help others using that setup.

If you need additional lens help, I highly recommend posting questions at the dpreview Nikon DSLR Talk forum. It provides excellent information, some of which is beyond the scope of our forum.
