And I really love my Olympus that I have, but it's three or four years old and a little outdated.
I would like to get a new one (preferably an Olympus), but I'm not sure what I want.
I'm kind of looking at the Stylus 9000, the stylus Tough 8000, or the FE 5020.
Which of those would be the best for the money?
Or do you think that something else would be better?
Halp!

Hi CaosCompleto and welcome to the Q&A Forum.

I don't think it's a matter of which is better, but which camera has the features you want most. If you're happy with Olympus, stick with it. They make fine digital cameras.

Similar cameras to consider are the:

Panasonic DMC-ZS3 10MP with 12x Wide Angle zoom

Canon SX200IS 12 MP Digital Camera with 12x Wide Angle Optical Zoom and 3.0-inch LCD

Nikon Coolpix S630 12MP Digital Camera with 7x zoom

The Olympus Stylus Tough-8000 is in a class by itself compared to the other cameras. It's waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, crushproof and shakeproof. A drawback may be that it only has a 3.6X zoom, though the other features may be more important to you.

For features, peek around in our Buying Guide section:

Thanks, ShutterbugGail! I was seriously considering the Stylus Tough, until I found out about its lack of zoom. Now I'm not so sure.
Those three you posted are all fantastic, I'll have to check them out.

A friend just bought the Panasonic ZS3 10MP with 12x Wide Angle zoom. It's quite a camera. While the high ISO performance isn't on par with a few other compact digital cameras that have come to market recently, it certainly has improved since I owned the Pany FZ18 and TZ3. She loves it.
