My memory card is an 8gig SDHC Card by Sandisk.

The problem is that it is saying that it isnt formatted however it has over 700 pictures on it

So basically it is telling me it cannot read it until I format it, but we all know what that will do.

I dont know what to do...but I have pictures from france, and family get togethers I do not want to lose on there.  Does anyone know a data recovery software or perhaps a way to make it recognize that the card is ready to go?

It would be very helpful, Thanks

Hi elig0s and welcome to the Q&A Forum.

If your memory card is an Ultra III, it came with photo recovery software, which is very good.

Have you tried downloading the images from a memory card reader. If you're using the USB cord to transfer images, try a card reader. If that doesn't work, call Sandisk tech support for recommendations.

Good luck.
