Vanier cup pictures

I had a nice view from the field at yesterday's Vanier Cup in Quebec city (the Vanier cup is the college football's championship in Canada). Here are some of my favourites (27 pics) in the linked gallery..
Most shot with the Pentax FA 100-300 f4,7, almost always at 300 mm and f7,1. A few were shot with the Vivitar series 1 70-210 f3,5. The camera is the K20D.
Enjoy!

You really got some great shots, bdery!
What amazes me when looking at them, even when reduced in size they look very sharp. There is nothing like a good DSLR lens!

Indeed Gail, the Pentax lens is very sharp when stopped down a little (it's no more than OK fully open) and the vivitar is really sharp at all times. However, it doesn't have as much reach and it's a fully manual lens, plus it's quite heavy. I probably won't be keeping it for that reason, even though it's a pleasure to use.
It would have been nice to have a bright Sun instead of clouds, but at least it didn't rain.
Oh! And it was a great game, final score 33-31... No team gave up...
