I noticed that this board has an insert image feature (for those who have registered).  Can you give some guidelines for recommended size and type (bmp/jpeg/gif) of images that are possible?

Please DO NOT insert images in messages which are larger than 340 pixels either width or lengthwise.*
Yes, you can insert a jpeg or gif image but can not upload one. We ask that images be no larger than 320 pixels by 320 pixels. Otherwise, they may be reduced in size.

To insert an image, it must already be uploaded at another location on the web.

To insert an image, click on the Insert Image icon.

The following graphic will show you what the Image Code tags look like when they appear in a Message area:

Next I usually put a few spaces between the opening and closing image brackets, like so:

Next, paste the url between the image tags. Make sure you copy and paste the complete address, including the file extension such as .jpg or .gif.

You can obtain the url of an image by right-clicking on it to bring up the Properties dialog box. Double click the address (url) and copy it to your clipboard.

Here's how an image will appear when the url is inserted correctly between the Insert Image tags:

Note also that code may not insert automatically or in the right place in certain browsers such as Mozilla. In those cases, you will have to type in the correct code.
