I have a race car. A photographer posts many pictures taken at the track on his website. I know the pictures were taken with a 35mm camera. I can print the picture taken of my car after I download it to my computer. When I put the picture on a CD and take it to Rite Aid to get a print on good photo paper it can not be read by their duplicating equipment. How come I can print the picture on my computer but cannot get a photo printing company to print it? Thanks for any help

Hi arnoldj, and welcome to the Q&A Board!

That's strange. You should be able to burn it into a CD and print the file from there at Rite Aid.

Is it the picture that can't be read, or the actual CD. If it's the latter, you may not have burned it correctly. During the burn process, you should have an option to "finalize" the burn. If you're not doing that, it can cause incompatibility problems with other CD readers.

If the problem is with the photo, are you editing it or changing it in any way before burning it into the CD? Have you changed the file type (eg. gif instead of jpeg) or changed the filename?

If neither of these work, you can try uploading your images to an only photo printing service, such as Kodak Gallery (formerly Ofoto) listed in the upper areas of most forum pages. They give you 20 free prints, which are mailed directly to you (you may have a shipping fee).

Another option is to copy the file onto a USB flash drive and print from that if the Rite Aid developing machine accepts USB drives (many do).

If none of these options work, let us know.
