 Hi,

Do you guy's know a way to edit the EXIF information. We want to change/delete the camera model/type in the exif file.

I've read some older topics, but I need the software to run on Mac OS X and all I find is for Windows.

Hi Hansel and welcome to the Q&A Board?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of software options for the Mac for editing EXIF data. I searched and found two programs. I have never tried them so make sure you read the documentation at the developers site before installing.

PhotoInfo

EXIFutils - this is a command line utility

Sorry for the late reply.

It has to be a GUI, so command line isn't a solution.

With Photo Info you can't change the camera type/model. The only program i've found that can do this is Reveal - http://albumshaper.sourceforge.net/

But when I edit the data with Reveal on a Mac, everything goes well. But when I view that(just editted) data on a windows machine, it shows the old data. Anyone an idea what is going wrong? Or an other solution?

Are you viewing it in a browser? If so perhaps try refreshing. Not a MAC person so I'm just guessing. :-/

Hi Hansel, sorry I didn't catch this sooner.

You can edit the EXIF data in DAM (digital asset management) software such as Canto Cumulus and Extensis Portfolio. These softwares are available in both Windows or Mac platform. Once you made the edit, you may need to write the metadata back to photo file. This can also be done in these softwares.
