 Huh
I just bought a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and when I upload my pics to Flickr it reads the exif data. This is nice for fellow flickrites to see what settings etc. that I used, but at the bottom it has Tags....tons and tons of sets of numbers from Canon. Is there any way to keep the "good info" and get rid of all these tags (numbers)?  Thanks.

Hi and welcome!

There are some free EXIF editors that you can use to remove unwanted data from the EXIF file. I use Opanda which I found on Google, there are many more.

But maybe those tags are useful in some situations, for instance in Zoombrowser or other editing programs. I'd be careful before removing them, maybe make a test with a copy of a file beforehand. Or maybe there is a way to configure your gallery so as to avoid displaying the tags. That could be simpler than going through your files one at a time...

Maybe give us a link to the gallery so we can see for sure what the tags are before anyone makes a mistake.

Try this (cut and paste)

I can turn it off totally (all Exif info), but the top info is great for other people and myself to look at. But all of us with this new camera have the same problem with all these tags.
Thanks for any help in removing only them. Huh

Wow! That's some serious EXIF data! I can't say that I blame you for wanting to get rid of some of it.

Other than doing it manually, or stripping it out completely in a Save As process (which I don't think you want to do), I honestly don't know what to suggest. I even looked at the ZoomBrowser software to see if you can tweak the data there.

Have you asked about this in a forum at Flickr? I'd give it a try.

I recently learned of software that lets you alter EXIF data including through batch processing. It's called Opanda PowerExif and cost about $50.00.
