EXIF data has GPS entries, does anyone know how to interface or have GPS information entered into EXIF if you have a GPS and would like to have the GPS location saved along with the picture? Roll Eyes

Hi Web Brauzer and welcome to the Q&A Board!

You may have to purchase software which provides this capability. For example, here is a tutorial using PhotoStudio:

PhotoStudio

Here's a program by Opanda

I'm unaware if there are any free programs that do this but you could try doing a web search.

AFAIK it will need to manually entered using an image editing software unless your camera is designed with that feature included, pretty high end to my mind Smiley. Try doing a search for "adding gps data to exif", it should provide a number of methods and/or software possibilities. Photo Studio has the feature as does PSP 9, as long as the exif written includes a field for gps.

Hi there, also, there are softwares on the market that link GPS coordinates to your photos regardless of the camera model and without connecting wires. You can have the GPS coordinates appear on the image like a date stamp if you wish. Here's a link to one such software http://www.geospatialexperts.com/gpsphotolink.html .  (Check out their slideshow to see examples of its features.)

Here it is .... http://www.geospatialexperts.com/gplfeature.html

For a look at the images and mapping it generates, go to http://www.geospatialexperts.com/help/Antarctica/index.htm . I think it's pretty swell software. Hmmmm, I wonder if they have any demos?  Wink
