I am taking photos with a Kodak 5 MegPix camera set on 1.3 Meg Pix.  I must resize the photo to fit in a web-based real estate listing.

When I get to the size that fits best, the horizontal lines are zig- zag and shingles are dramatitized making the photo of the house very ugly.

Basic photoshop is used to resize.

How do I resolve?

Hi Don and welcome to the Q&A Board. Resizing can be tricky sometimes, especially if the resize is extreme. Review the posting here it seems to be very similar to yours. Feel free to email me a copy of the image and I'll give it a go. Wink

Can you tell us how you're resizing the image and what editing program you are using.

As an aside, I'm just completing a fairly comprehensive article about Digital Photography for real estate agents including how to address  some of the problems encountered when taking photos of buildings, homes, etc. If you're interesting check back in a week or so, it should be complete wilt all segments of the article linked:
