DMC-LC50 cannot get my pictures off my camera. It came with the ULead program, but it seams to not have a device driver with it, or I get this warning no driver is required or has been loaded, and then it cannot find one either..  Do I need one, or why is my camera not downloading my pictures onto the computer.  It goes into USB mode PTP PictBridge.

Hi koodbblond and welcome to the Q&A Board!

Can you tell us what operating system you are using? Some require drivers, others do not such as Windows ME and XP. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ULead program. If that doesn't work, try and download a free program such as Picasa2, which will launch a window and transfer images when a camera or memory card reader is plugged in.

I love Picasa, and still find it hard to believe they don't charge anything for such a fine program. Picasa was very good, but Picasa2 is so much better.

Let us know what happens.

Windows98
I tried to unistall Ulead but I was unable I got the following warning:

>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.CPP(409) $7.0.100.1342 @ Windows 98 B (67766446) IE 6.0.2811.1106

What does this mean?  I have had this camera for less than three months and I have had no luck with it.  I bought it through Telus and they don't offer support and they don't accept them back.  I'm told it is a really good camera, maybe it is windows 98?

Hi koodbblond,

It may very well be Windows 98 and, unfortunately, we don't offer operating system help because there can be so many things involved. It's difficult for us to say why a program will not uninstall.

You could consider downloading and installing a new driver. But before you do that you may wish to contact Panasonic for some help. If your camera is only three months old, it should still be on warranty.

Here's contact numbers, drivers, troubleshooting advice, etc. about your model camera:
