I am getting small white spots on my pictures. What could be the problem. Also my pictures aren't nearly the quality they used to be...

I lost my manual and I don't see anywhere on the menu where I can change the pixel settings or anything.

Can anyone advise?

Hello and welcome, Renee!

Can you give us a little more information? For example, are the white spots always in the same place? Are there a lot or just a few? What type of camera do you have and it is very old? If you can, describe how the image quality getting worse? If you have a copy of a photo online anywhere, you can link it so we can take a look. Here are the instructions for posting a photo:

I know this sounds very basic, but have you cleaned the lens? It's probably not that, but one never knows.

It could be something called "hot pixels." Here is some information about it  (look at the example mid-way down the page).

While software can help eliminate hot pixels, if the problem is serious you may have to take it in for repair.
