My fiance and I found a Nikon Coolpix 950 in the house we moved into. It had no batteries and no memory card. Although the camera isn't the newest thing or anythig special, we really wanted a chance to just play with it. So after doing research, we found that it uses the Compact Flash memory card. Inserted a SanDisk Extreme III compact flash card 4 GB. Camera stated to format. I formatted the card. Now the camera says that it is full and cannot use. I've tried to format the card on my computer as well. Nothing. Any help?

A quick check of the camera specs shows that it doesn't support type II CF cards so I doubt it would be able to handle the type III. If you can find one of the older/original type CF cards you may yet be in luck.
