I am going to norway to shoot a freinds wedding, It will likely be an outside shoot in the snow.
I have looked on some web sites for a few tips and found that i should adjust the Ev settings so as to not to over expose the shots.

My question is, I already shoot my Nikon D80 in manual mode and adjust my exposure by adjusting the aperture and shutter speed.

By adjusting the EV setting is that excactly the same as adjusting the aperture and shutter speed or not.

Is the Exposure value button a different adjustment or just a quick way of over or under exposing your shot.?

Another explanation from dpreview.
Hope that helps some.

Check your camera manual (page 64) for how to adjust exposure compensation manually.

Photographing a wedding is fun and challenging. You'll need to get the white balance right too. I'm not sure how helpful this article will be for taking a wedding outside in the snow, but it may contain a few helpful tips from it:

We sure hope all goes well. Don't forget to take some test shots. Wink
