Hi,
I have bought a Sony Cybershot DSC S730 and there is no sound on when you play back the video - I have gone through the menu to see if there is a control for it but I cant find anything - HELP!!!

Hi and welcome!

Maybe check if your camera has a Mute mode (for instance, my Canon does, to remove all other sounds, but it also prevents it from playing sounds in video playback). Some cameras also do not have a speaker, but the sound is still recorded. Does the problem only happen when viewing videos on the camera, or also on a computer?

Another possible explanation is that, sometimes, camera microphones are very cheap and inneffective. I recently used an Olympus pocket camera, and while the camera is fine, its microphone cannot record sound coming from more than 1-2 feet, and even then it's at a really low volume.
