 Dear all,

Whilst using my ZOOM NIKKOR ED, i accidentally closed the flash shutter whilst turning the camera on. As a result, the camera picture turned near pitch black and extremely disorientated? Simple problem or should i take it into a repair shop?

Hi nikon1111 and welcome!

I'm not quite sure I understand you. Are all the photos you now take are black and disoriented ever since that happened or was it a one time event. Or are you talking about the camera LCD is now broken?

In either case, if you can't solve the problem by resetting the camera, I'd contact a repair shop. Here are some things to consider when repairing a camera:
