I currently have a 35 mm Canon EOS Elan II, but am ready to shop around for an equivalent digital camera.  I have a Tamron Zoom Lens AF70-300 LD Macro EOS and a Promaster FTD 7000M flash and I am wondering if it is possible to use these items with a digital camera.  Thank you.

Hi,

I am not sure about the flash, and not FULLY certain about the lens, because there are many different lenses and cameras out there, but on a general basis accesories that work with a film SLR will work with a DSLR of the same brand.

The best thing to do to be sure would be to communicate either with Canon or with the manufacturers of your accesories. As you probably know, your lens won't work with anything else than Canon, of course.
