Hi,

I'm not sure I undrestand the first question. Could you be more specific? Also, if your post relates to something else you've posted, itmight be simpler to post in that thread to help other readers understand.

About your second question, if you mean that you have shot some pictures at a low resolution, and want to make them "larger" (increase their resolution) then it's sad, but you can't. This would require you to create data that isn't there in the first place. You can view the file you have with a larger view, but you'll notice artifacts and apparent blur. That's because you lack the necessary resolution. The same thing happens on your TV if you look closely. You can discern the pixels on the screen. There is no way your TV will give you a better resolution than the size of the smallest pixel.

Hi MarvelHeroes, if you use a file/card recovery program, it will recover files as they were initially created.  Smiley

You can generally upsize an image successfully to a point. Beyond that point, the artifacts become far to noticable. I assume you've tried upsizing using Photoshop's interpolation engine (use Bicubic setting). There is a program called Genuine Fractals. It is superior to PS for enlarging images up to 800% of original size. It's not free however. If you'd like to check it out, go to http://www.ononesoftware.com/detail.php?prodLine_id=2 .

I have video clips that are still images they look good small but when I try to magnify them in Adobe Photoshop I can't, when I magnify them on my digicam they look pixelated.

The video clip images used to be sharp and clear.

So you are telling me that I can't make the video clips image clear and sharp?

Then I have taken some pictures and for some reason will not load in Adobe Photoshop. Can I use a free program to make these pictures load?

When I transfer these files back on to my memory card by using a memory card reader,

Will the still video clip images be sharp and clear with no pixelation?

Also the images that did not load will they load?

If not is there any free programs that can fix the pixelation and make the still video clip images clear, sharp and big?

Is there also a  free program that will fix the images that could not load and also make them big ?

Thanks for your help

>> So you are telling me that I can't make the video clips image clear and sharp?

Not if they are unclear and unsharp to begin with.

>>Can I use a free program to make these pictures load?

You can try one or both of the free programs I mentioned previously.

>>Will the still video clip images be sharp and clear with no pixelation?

No if the originals are pixelated. Why do you want to transfer them back to a memory card? I know some people do it but it can be tricky.

>>Also the images that did not load will they load?

You won't know until you give it a try.

>> Is there also a  free program that will fix the images that could not load and also make them big ?

Answered in the posts above.

The still video clip images I have taken were clear and sharp. They were perfect

I formated the memory card and the files got erased.

When I transfered the still video clip images on to a memory card they were blurry with pixelation when I magnifiy them.

Can I make these video still images like they were when they were clear and sharp with no pixelation when I magnify? Can I make them perfect

Is there a free program that can fix this?

Thanks for you help

Hi MarvelHeroes, have you tried using a data recovery software on your formatted memory card yet? If so, were the small, pixelated video image clips all that it could recover? If they are all that were recoverable, I'm sad to say your higher resolution versions of those may be gone. Did you ever try the software you asked about in an earlier post (the one from www.cardrecovery.com)?

On the other hand, if you've not tried a recovery software yet (several have been mentioned in this forum. A "search" will find those posts for you.), give the software a try. The small, pixelated video image clips you are seeing may, in fact, merely be the preview thumbs that are sometimes automatically generated by your camera. These thumbs are not upsizeable to any degree because they are so very small.

As for free softwares, I seem to recall Bdery mentioning having used "PC Inspector" with success.
