Hi. I have a new camera. I just changed the battery and before it died I think I bumped something. But I've looked through everything. When I use the flash, my pictures show green, without flash they don't. I've tried factory setup to reset it, but resetting doesn't help. I have tried changing brightnes, etc. Nothing happens. It doesn't have a memory card, so I can't reset it that way. It's low end. Could it be finished? Please help me.
Thank you.

Hi Tarah,

Welcome to the Q&A Board! So sorry to hear about the camera problem.

I'm wondering if you've somehow changed the white balance setting. Check it even though you've reset the camera and make sure it's set to "Auto." Don't know if it will help, but it's worth a try.

The "green" color is rather unusual and if you bumped the camera more than just a little, you may have damaged the flash. Do I understand you correctly that photos taken without the flash are okay? If so, your camera may not be totally "finished" just the flash.

Try two other things. Leave the batteries out of the camera for several hours and and then insert another set of brand new or fully charge batteries. If the flash is broken and you say it's low end, I'm not sure the cost of repair is worth fixing it.

If you have further questions, please ask.

Thank you for your help. The white balance is on auto. I guess I'll try leaving the batteries out. It's probably just a goner. I just bought it too. I paid 80 dollars. I'd say that's low end. Oh well. thanks again.

If it's a goner, I'm really sorry to hear about that. Then again, thank goodness it wasn't a more expensive one that was broken!

If you decide to buy another digital camera, shop around. New models are coming out this and next month and last years "best" are coming down in price.
