I am starting to sell jewelry online and need to learn how to take pictures of the pieces I make. What camera would you recommend for a beginner to purchase that will take the closeups of the items to be posted in online auctions?

Hi Tribune and welcome to the Q&A Board!

Can you please give us an idea of about how much you'd like to spend? It will help us lead you in the right direction. You'll probably need a tripod or mini tripod as well.

Don't mean to toot my own horn, but I recently completed writing an ebook about how to photograph products. It contains a lot of ideas about photographing small items such a jewerly without fancy studio equipment.
