I don’t care for the factory default settings of most digital cameras, so I change them as soon as I get a camera. These are the settings I generally use for the Fujifilm F20.
Settings
- Manual mode
- Exposure Compensation - (-) 0.3
- Photometry (exposure mode) - Multi
- Auto Focus mode - Center
- F button - FINE mode
- F button - Auto ISO 400 [High ISO]
- FinePix Color (F button)
Standard for most shots
Chrome for some outside shots - Auto Focus Illuminator - ON
- Flash - OFF (suppressed)
- The FZ20 has no image stabilization, so I may use the Anti-blur mode for fast shutter speeds. The sensitivity can go up to ISO 2000 however, depending on lighting conditions.
Important: I use these settings most of the time but change them as needed. Changes are made according to the subject, quality and direction of light and whether photos are taken inside or out.
