Seam carvingSome day we’ll be able to “gracefully resize” digital images that are displayed on the web, without cropping and without loss of subject matter.

A new image software is under development that promises to resize, or multisize, an image  while adapting its content to the layout.

When you have a moment, take a look at this YouTube video about this fascinating technology that has intriguing terms attached to it such as “content-aware image resizing,” “seam carving” “retargeting,” and “continuous resizing.”
