Overall impressions
In November 2003, I upgraded from a point-and-shoot to the Nikon CoolPix 5400, an advanced digicam with a wide-angle lens. I was unprepared for it's complexity (it does have scene and automatic modes to use in a pinch).
I set out on a journey to learn how to use the camera to it's full potential...and to mine. Much of the information gleaned during that journey is contained in this Blog.

The Nikon 5400 has a slow processor but is just about perfect for wide angle landscape and macro shots.
