Issues
Noise
Yes, noise appears in some photos, even at ISO 80 & 100. Most reviewers say that the noise level is "average" at these settings. Even if there is noise in an image, it generally does not appear in 4x6" prints or on a computer monitor when images are reduced in size.
However, noise is considerable, some would call it unacceptable, when shooting at ISO 400. If you shoot using high ISO, you may wish to consider buying a digital camera with a larger sensor.
Red-eye
Compared to other cameras I've owned and used, the FZ3 produces an high amount of Red-Eye. Red-Eye reduction mode and changing flash compensation, do not help much. Not every photo has red-eye, of course. A lot depends on angle of shot, room lighting, etc. Other than noted, the FZ3 flash works well when used within the specified flash range. Here are more tips on improving indoor flash photos.
LCD and electronic viewfinder
Sometimes turn dark when using the flash.
Purple fringing at long tele
Minimize by using a small aperture (high f-stop)
Lens hood
If you don't attach it correctly, you'll get vignetting at wide angle. Make sure the notch on the lens hood is matched with adapter. The notch should be on top when you hold the camera to take a photo.
