Noise - noise is evident when photos are taken at ISO numbers higher than 100. The amount is about the same as other consumer digicams. If noise is present, it generally does not appear in small sized prints or on a monitor when images are reduced in size. Programs such as Neat Image effectively reduce digital image noise.
Red-eye - Red-Eye reduction is so-so. Whether you get red-eye in a photo depends on angle a photo is taken, room lighting, etc. The AF Assist Lamp beam is used for red-eye reduction.
LCD - when using the optical viewfinder to frame shots, you may have to turn the LCD off. The bright LCD is so close to the viewfinder that the viewfinder can be difficult to use when it is on.
Continuous mode - mode is mediocre but useable when it's weaknesses are understood. The LCD should be shut off prior to shooting in this mode. You only get 4-7 shots while holding down the shutter button, then encounter pauses as images are written to the memory card. Practice to get the hang of it.
