Likes & Dislikes
I like:
- slick looking, superior build-quality
- great, easy to see LCD
- ease of use and intuitive menu
- layout of buttons and switches
- fast and responsive in every aspect (except the flash). Like all Digic II Canon cameras, it performs best with a high speed memory card.
- focuses very fast
- lock exposure and focus independently. You can even lock focus and exposure independently at the same time.
- holds it's own in low light, up to ISO400.
I dislike:
- price ($499 U.S. when I purchased it. The current price is a bargin!)
- not enough information on the LCD
- no indication of optical zoom range (magnification is shown for the digital zoom)
- no protection for LCD
- flash is weak and recycles slow (until I discovered these steps)
- landscape/infinity mode doesn't seem to have any effect
